Welcome to my very first blog post! This one is going to be all about my dogs...
Firstly, say hello to Alfie, otherwise known as Alf, Alfieboo, Boobear or Boo was born 4th December 2014 and arrived at our house in mid-February. He's a fluffy, short brown, white, ginger and black cockapoo, which I've heard are very unusual colours for that breed! Alfie is a sensitive soul who just always wants a cuddle (or any kind of attention really). He's extremely needy and definitely suffers from some sort of separation anxiety, but he's very intelligent and is great at reading human emotion. He seems to understand the atmosphere within the house and takes himself away when need be. Other than the cute, softy side of him, Alfie is also extremely stubborn. He knows what he wants and once he has it you're not getting it back. For example, socks! The Bane of our lives when he first arrived at our family home. He would chew, swallow and digest any sock he could find and occasionally the odd shoe would get torn to bits too. Although, now he's grown out of the sock eating stage (we hope!) he does still get in the chewing mood and loves a tough dog toy!
8 months later my family and I decided one dog wasn't enough so along came Dudley! AKA Doo, dudders, dooga or doogley was born on 3rd August 2015 and joined our family in late October. Dudley has always been the cheeky one of the two but the cute puppy dog eyes are irresistible. Dudley is also a cockapoo but the two couldn't look more different really. He is thin, with long, skinny legs (that look too long for this body) with simple black and white colouring. Dudley is obsessed with birds, and when I say obsess I mean it! If he could sit and watch birds and chase them all day, he definitively would. Dudley is also highly intelligent but we do believe he has 'selective hearing' as he only seems to understand what you're asking him to do when you have a treat in your hand! He's a cuddly dog when he wants to be but loves to follow me around, even if I just get up to get a glass of water, sure enough he'll be right behind me!
